Jessica Wells is a writer and strategic communicator who recently left the Sunshine State to explore Raleigh, N.C. She works on behalf of more than 540 great hometowns at the North Carolina League of Municipalities, a membership organization that provides advocacy, support, insurance and more for the state’s cities, towns and villages.

Part storyteller and part strategist, Jessica creates content for the organization by highlighting good governments across the state. In addition to an appreciation for public service, this position has given Jessica a long list of weekend trips she needs to take.

When she isn’t writing about North Carolina, she’s exploring downtown Raleigh’s local businesses, training for half marathons, catching up on sitcoms with her husband, dreaming of her next Disney vacation or taking pictures of her miniature dachshund, Samson.
