Philanthropy’s New Voice: Research Materials and National Survey Data

Philanthropy’s New Voice is the largest study on narratives about the philanthropic sector. The Center for Public Interest Communications and the Council on Foundations used a mixed methods approach to better understand what types of stories could help build trust in the philanthropic sector, what details various actors wanted to know about foundations, and what resources practitioners needed to fill the narrative vacuum around philanthropy. 

At the core of public interest communications is an understanding of the science behind communication and the value of transparency and replicability in research. And so we want to show our work. This page houses the data from our national survey and all the research materials we used, including both sets of survey questions and all the interview questions.
