Karel Chair in Public Interest Communications Angela Bradbery convened dozens of faculty and professionals in June 2022 at Howard University in Washington, D.C. for the inaugural summer institute in public interest communications. The Center team was on hand to support our colleague with technical, logistics and subject matter expertise.

The 2022 Public Interest Communications Summer Institute was so inspiring and productive that organizers plan to hold it again next year.

The institute brought together more than 100 faculty, researchers, graduate students and practitioners both in-person and online to learn, share and collaborate in defining and building the academic field of public interest communications.

The result: New friendships and connections, as well as a Wiki to share resources going forward and a LinkedIn group to stay connected.
